Hiram Peterson Sr. was born 15 Apr 1806 in NY. He married Roxanna Davenport 27 Jan 1828 in NY (possibly in Wayne County). Roxanna Davenport was born 12 Oct 1807 in NY. Roxanna died 10 Oct 1854 in Kane Co., IL and is buried in South Elgin Cemetery, Kane Co., IL. In 1840 Hiram was living in Yates Co., NY with 4 boys and 1 girl. Between 1848 and 1850 the Peterson family moved from Yates Co., NY to South Elgin, IL. After the death of Roxanna, Hiram married Felissa Ann Jones Lee on 22 Nov 1854. Felissa was born 13 Aug 1832 and was married 1st to Nelson Lee. Nelson left for California without Felissa. She received a letter saying that Nelson had died. However, soon after her marriage to Hiram, Nelson Lee, returned to find that Felissa had married Hiram. Felissa and Nelson got a divorce and then Felissa married Hiram Peterson a second time on 30 Oct 1856. Hiram Peterson served in the 15th IL Cavalry from September 6, 1861 to March 4, 1862. He was honorably discharged as "overaged". In 1870 Hiram was living in Muskegon Co., MI. His occupation was listed as a carpenter. Around 1878 or 1879 Hiram moved to Gregg Co., TX and was living with his son-in-law, William H. Freeland according to the 1880 census. In a pension application by Felissa, she stated that Hiram Peterson died in 1880 in Kilgore, TX. Nothing has been found to confirm this so far. However, Felissa married Oliver L. Moore 31 Oct 1883 in Gregg Co., TX so we can assume that Hiram died between the date of June 5, 1880 (the date that the census was taken) and Oct 31, 1883.
Felissa Moore was living with the family of George and Flora McLeod on the 1900 census in Barron Co., WI. In 1910 Felissa was living back with the family of William and Rosa Freeland in Kaufman Co., TX. In 1920 Felissa was back in Barron Co., WI living with Flora McLeod. Felissa died 15 Dec 1921 in Rice Lake, WI.

Isaac died 1918 Crawford Co., WI and he is buried in Haney Cemetery.

Children of Hiram Peterson and Felissa Ann Jones Lee:
The only known child of Hiram Peterson and Felissa Jones Lee is William/Wilbur L. Peterson b. ca 1856 IL. He is believed to be the person listed on the 1880 mortality schedule in Gregg Co., TX as "Wilbur Peterson". He may also have been the husband of the Mary Peterson listed on the 1880 census in Gregg Co., TX. Mary Peterson was 23 yrs. old, born in IL, widowed and had three children; Eva age 5, born in MI, Lizzy age 3 born in TX, and Willis age 5/12 born in TX. Mary and her children were living next door to Hiram and Felissa Peterson.
